About This Blog

I'm not a doctor nor a nurse, but since I became a mother of a twin, a boy and a girl I become very curious about health. Specially, when one of my twins, my son suffered from leukemia at the age of one year and six months and left us at the age of two years old. I started to read medical books, nutritional label of a product, research the good and side effect of a medicine.

In this health blog I will share to you my own personal sickness and on how I cure it. Lots of medical knowledge derived from reliable sources and stories from friends and love ones. Tips of what food we must eat and what we must not. All of us want to live a healthy lifestyle, but we must admit there are times we cannot avoid the temptation. How to fight it? Read my blog, you can discover things you can apply to your daily lives.

Please help us others to educate people on how to cure themselves, and to improve ourselves, so we can live longer for our love ones. You are free to suggest, comments and share personal stories.

It's 6:00 in the morning still heavy rains outside and I'm very cold I'm eating my breakfast, sip my hot coffee and eating toasted bread with a sunny side up egg. After this I'm planning a little move dancing as well in some enjoyable dance music so It will make me feel a little warmer. I just remember last night I was so very crave eating chocolates and fortunately I did not. So before I go to bed I try to have a research. Is there a best time to eat chocolates? And this is what I found out. It says that you can eat sweets or chocolates at 2:00 PM for your energy boost. Also there is a time for eating carbohydrate, 1:00 P.M. It increase your level of Serotonin, so if your going to have that piece of pizza, have it then. Best time for fats, 10:00 A.M. it gives your body all day to digest them. Best time for alcohol, have your alcohol at 5:00 P.M. Alcohol is a stimulant and your body will metabolize it by bedtime. Now I know so If I'm craving for some food maybe I will take this advice.

I'm drinking red wine now... is it really good for my heart? As I done for some research I found out that.....

Red wine, in moderation, has long been thought of as heart healthy. The alcohol and certain substances in red wine called antioxidants may help prevent heart disease by increasing levels of "good" cholesterol and protecting against artery damage.
While the news about red wine might sound great if you enjoy a glass of red wine with your evening meal, doctors are wary of encouraging anyone to start drinking alcohol. That's because too much alcohol can have many harmful effects on your body.
Still, many doctors agree that something in red wine appears to help your heart. It's possible that antioxidants, such as flavonoids or a substance called resveratrol, have heart-healthy benefits.
But How is red wine heart healthy?
Red wine seems to have even more heart-healthy benefits than other types of alcohol, but it's possible that red wine isn't any better than beer, white wine or liquor for heart health. There's still no clear evidence that red wine is better than other forms of alcohol when it comes to possible heart-healthy benefits.
Antioxidants in red wine called polyphenols may help protect the lining of blood vessel in your heart. Apolyphenol called resveratrol is one substance in red wine that's gotten attention. Resveratrol might be a key ingredient in red wine that helps prevent damage to blood vessels, reduces "bad" cholesterol and prevents blood clots. Some research shows that resveratrol could be linked to a reduced risk of inflammation and blood clotting, both of which can lead to heart disease. More research is needed before it's known whether resveratrol was the cause for the reduced risk.
My opinion on this, red wine maybe healthy but still it contains alcohol and drinking too much alcohol also can harm our body. So maybe drink moderately and not often we can enjoy the health benefits.
